Spinning in Space
Earth & space sciences Students observe how the Earth’s rotation on its axis causes regular changes, including night and day. (ACSSU048) |
Heating Up
Physical sciences Students learn that heat can be produced in many ways and can move from one object to another. (ACSSU049) |
Melting Moments
Chemical sciences Students discover that a change of state between solid and liquid can be caused by adding or removing heat. (ACSSU046) |

Material World
Chemical sciences With a particular focus on plastics, this unit provides opportunities for students to develop an understanding of the properties of materials and how we use these materials in everyday life. Through investigations, students explore how to test properties of materials and how to use this knowledge to choose materials wisely. (ACSSU074) |
Let's Build a Theme Park!
Physical sciences This unit provides students with an opportunity to explore forces and motion. Through hands-on activities students identify forces that act at a distance and those that act on direct contact and investigate how different sized forces affects the movement of objects (ACSSU076) |
