Melting Moments
Students consider how the properties of a material (specifically its state of matter) affects the behaviour of a product. Food, Marvellous Food! Students discover that people in the food design industry consider a range of factors and use different production methods when designing and manufacturing products for consumers. They design their own Marvellous Food inspired by Willy Wonka. |
Year 4
Save the Bees
After discovering the importance of bees to our ecosystem through a Science inquiry, students design products that would support bees in our environment (e.g. roof top hives, vertical gardens etc.) |
Plastic or not?
Students investigate the suitability of plastic for a range of purposes and discover why so much plastic is used in our society. They consider alternative materials and suggest solutions to the plastic dilemma. |
Let's Build a Theme Park
In conduction with a Science inquiry, students investigate how forces and properties of materials affect the behaviour of a product or system. |
